How to prepare ...

In order to enjoy your time at KOOPFEST and be as much a part of things as possible, here are some ways to prepare, items to bring along and things to know (check back regularly as this page will have updates as needed) ...

Birthday Cake Candles

Here are a few things to get together before you arrive

(please work with your extended family on these) ...

1. Pictures/memorbalia to go on your family table for Friday night.  Each sibling will have a table for their entire family so for some families contributions will need to be coordinated due to the size of the family.  The table should give an idea of who you are as a family and some things that might make you unique.

2. A way to identify which family you are from (for example:  Irv's family all wears a blue hat or a bandana or colour of t-shirt) ... please work with your whole family on this one!  Name tags will be a part of the registration process once on site!

3. Lawn chairs to use outside ... there is seating but those who are locally located should bring as many lawn chairs as possible to help with outdoor seating.

4. Your own beverages.  At meals beverages will be supplied but you may want to store your beverages in the large bar/canteen fridges (please label them) and know that alcoholic beverages are allowed on site but just for those 18 years of age and older.  There is a large ice machine in the bar/canteen area as well!

5.  Any large outdoor game, puzzle, board game or sports equipment (soccer ball, baseball equipment, volleyball ... as space for these sports are available)  ... there will be planned events but also quiet areas to enjoy a puzzle or board game or art/crafts (these will be planned and materials available).

6.  Saturday night celebration ... if you want to contribute some music, a dance, or speech for after dinner - please use the contact form on the website for this!
